About The Artist

Hello and thank you for visiting my website! My name is Tamie Yarie, and I am the artist here at Baby Blessings! I was born in 1969, and raised in Central Wisconsin.  Besides my three wonderful and very busy children....sculpting has quickly become one of my greatest passions! I knew the instant I met my son, my first born, that I wanted be the one raising my own children...I didn't want to miss one second of his life! Yet, staying at home was not an option. I am a liscensed cosmotologist who has always loved babies and children, so I made the decision to stay at home and do daycare for the first few years after my son was born...And, although I loved being able to stay at home, something was missing from my life....

I discovered reborning in 2000, and advanced into sculpting my own dolls in January of 2005. I continued reborning, while practicing with clay a bit here and there... And, It wasn't until September of 2005 that felt confident enough to sell my first OOAK! I have always known I had artistic abilities, but never imagined myself making a living as an artist! I live in a very small town where there would not be a demand for this type of artistry. Thank goodness for the Internet! I have now sold many babies all over the world. I have sculpted for both, Danbury Mint in the US and HSE (Home Shopping Europe). In 2006 I expanded into having my own dolls produced into soft vinyl kits, geared toward the reborners! I  brought out my first line of limited "artist edition" resins in 2007! I love the resins too, as they are so close to the OOAK. It has been a wonderful way to start my own collection of dolls...I no longer have give to up my favorite babies...I can keep one for myself, and share them with others as well! More recently, I began working on my first solid silicone artist editions, and I LOVE the silicone! It feels so REAL, and has a fantastic weight to it!

I love to create babies, doing my best to achieve a realistic newborn look. I am completely fascinated with those first few weeks of life...those precious, magical moments, so pure and innocent...so short lived... It seems they pass by us too quickly, it is as if they were completely stolen away! I love knowing that I am creating these very moments that we can now cherish a lifetime! I love knowing that I am sharing my gift with many people from all over the world! I feel truly blessed in so many ways....I absolutely love my job!

I cannot explain the amount of pure joy and self-fulfillment I feel when I am sculpting...it is my calling in life, and I have no doubt about that! There are many people who go through life not knowing exactly what God has planned for them.... I have been given an amazing gift, and I thank God for this every day! Sculpting takes a lot of hard work, self discipline and dedication...I work extremely hard to continue to grow and improve with each new baby I create! I am my own worst critic, as I think most artists are....I am a perfectionist in every aspect of my life, which isn't always a good quality...but, I have learned how to apply it in a positive way through my work, and I hope it shows :)!

For the past 7 years, I have worked very hard to build a strong, honest, and successful business. I am very proud of what I have been able to achieve! I have met a lot of terrific customers and made some wonderful friends along the way...

I would like to thank all of my customers for loving my babies enough to come back time and time again. And, to those of you I have yet to meet...I am looking forward to it!

I hope you have enjoyed your visit, and please check back from time to time to see what's new! Feel free to drop me an email if you have any questions, or just to say hello! I would love to hear from you...

Love&Blessings,
Tamie
